Brightwell Aquatics Phosphat-E Liquid Phosphate Remover

Brightwell Aquatics Phosphat-E is a highly effective liquid phosphate remover designed to quickly reduce elevated phosphate levels in both freshwater and marine aquariums. Its lanthanum-based formula binds dissolved phosphate into insoluble particles that can then be removed by mechanical filtration or a protein skimmer.

Key benefits:

• Rapidly lowers phosphate (PO₄) levels
• Helps reduce nuisance algae and cyanobacteria
• Promotes healthier coral growth and improved coloration by maintaining low nutrient levels
• Suitable for reef and fish-only marine aquariums, as well as freshwater systems

Directions:

• Dose slowly into a filter sock (5–10 micron is ideal), overflow, or skimmer intake where the precipitate can be captured
• Test phosphate regularly with a reliable test kit (such as a Hanna Instruments ULR Phosphorus Checker) and avoid lowering phosphate too quickly
• For reef aquariums, many hobbyists aim for 0.03–0.10 ppm PO₄, depending on the livestock

Important:

• Never pour large doses directly into the display tank
• Remove or clean mechanical filtration after dosing to export the bound phosphate
• If phosphate is very high, reduce it gradually over several days to avoid stressing corals
