Acropora are very difficult to maintain but are some of the most rewarding long term, Acropora's display some of the most unique coral colors and forms in which they grow. Most species of Acropora prefer medium to high light along with high flow areas. High flow tends to keep nutrient transport throughout the colonies of coral and also helps with detritus reduction settling in between the corallites of these corals.
